Overview

POSCO E&C is proactively engaged in the construction and renovation of railroads, the backbone of overland transportation. Railroad construction demands advanced technologies capable of addressing latent risks, since a change of as little as 1cm in track position could derail a train. POSCO E&C continues to research comprehensive engineering techniques to eliminate the risks.

POSCO E&C has earned high-profile recognition for our engineering technologies in railroad construction projects in Korea, including the Gyeongjeon Line, Gyeongeui Line and Jungang Line, and also in subway construction works, such as the Seoul Metro Line 7 and the Shin-Bundang Line. POSCO E&C has cemented our position as a leading company in the railway industry, most notably by successfully completing the Incheon International Airport Railroad project linking Seoul and the eponymous airport, and the Busan-Gimhae LRT project.
