Hot RollingBack Steel Plants

  • hot rolling
  • plate
  • wire rod

The hot-rolled process is used to produce hot-rolled plate coil from slab produced from the continuous casting process. Slabs are reheated in a heating furnace until the temperature of the slab rises to a degree that enables rolling, and then pass through the rolling process to make a plate of the desired thickness. The final products are produced when the plates are rolled into a coil shape, and then pass through the correction line or the dividing line.

POSCO E&C is capable of carrying out the design, purchase, and construction phases of hot-rolled facilities, as well as conducting trial runs, and has constructed a number of hot-rolled facilities both nationally and abroad.
