As part of the core management strategy of the company, we set up a corporate technology master plan to develop competencies for core business areas in which we can achieve a comparative advantage over other advanced technologies, such as long-span bridges, light rail transit, super high-rise buildings, environment-friendly buildings, new and renewable energies, and chemical engineering plants --all based on our extensive experience in steel plant EPC projects.

Furthermore, we have built a network of research and development capabilities within the POSCO Group including the POSCO R&D Center, RIST and POSTECH to pursue effective research activities and capitalize on the results of the research and development to the maximum extent possible.
