To provide an opportunity to experience work in the construction industry for youth who will lead the future of Korea and aid them in career planning, POSCO has operated a Youth Construction Camp in collaboration with Seoul Youth Factory for Alternative Culture.

By fulfilling the wishes of children aged 3~18 who are suffering from incurable diseases, we bring back long-lost hope to families and help the children grow a dream for their future.
Together with supports and donation to community organizations, POSCO E&C established an in-house public service organization to deploy various supporting activities including visits to welfare facilities such as orphanages and facilities for disabled. In addition, the company aggressively participates in the activities in different ways such as donation of articles to the POSCO's forum of sharing.

Since established in 1994, POSCO E&C has kept sisterhood relationship with villages, schools and traditional markets in Pohang and Gwangyang, the home places of the corporation, to support the people in the cities such as improvement of living conditions of low-income brackets.

POSCO E&C entered convention with Korea National Red Cross in 2005 for the purpose of building healthy society through blood donation. The people of POSCO E&C in Seoul, Pohang, Gwangyang and the work sites donate their blood twice a year.

POSCO E&C acknowledges criticality of environment-relevant issues, and operates an enterprise-wide campaign for protection of environments for the purpose of establishing environment-friendly construction culture.

POSCO strives to spread corporate-level donation culture through “Channel of Sharing”, POSCO’s Social Contribution website. As the first corporation to operate the website with Naver Happy Bean, a Korean online donation website, POSCO and its employees practice sharing with needy neighbors.

POSCO Construction Co has continuously committed itself to society at large in countries it branched out to, mainly at underdeveloped areas by constructing educational facilities, educating the illiterate and supplying school meals and sports equipment. Via such activities, POSCO hopes to overcome cultural barriers and strengthen the ties with the local community, and furthermore perform its role as an ambassador of Korea.

POSCO E&C organized a gymnastic team on Oct. 30, 2004 for supporting the gymnastic sports in Korea to keep the reputation in the world.
The gymnastic team of POSCO E&C develops variety of programs for expanding gymnastics-concerned people, and operates scientific and systematic training programs for improving competence of the members of the team to ultimately contribute to development to gymnastics in Korea.
